📄 Abstract

Social entrepreneurship and impact investing are essential tools in promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by addressing global challenges with innovative solutions that align financial returns with social and environmental benefits. This paper introduces a comprehensive framework encompassing three main components: mission alignment, financial sustainability, and impact evaluation. These elements aim to enhance the efficacy of social enterprises and refine impact investing strategies, contributing to enduring social and environmental progress. The proposed framework supports several crucial SDGs, such as No Poverty (SDG 1), Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Quality Education (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), and Climate Action (SDG 13). By addressing these objectives, the framework offers a robust approach to scaling social impact across diverse sectors and regions while ensuring financial viability. This research contributes to the growing body of literature by bridging significant gaps in understanding the interplay between social enterprises and impact investors, providing practical recommendations for aligning mission-driven ventures with sustainable financial models. By emphasizing a layered approach to impact measurement and diversified funding strategies, the framework offers actionable insights for practitioners aiming to maximize social impact without compromising financial sustainability. Balancing social objectives with economic returns is crucial for making meaningful progress towards the SDGs and creating scalable solutions to complex global challenges.
